Upholstery cleaners do get more training that carpet cleaners. Some upholstery is very durable like microfiber and some furniture has a more delicate fabric like hattian cotton or suede. The most impotant thing to remember when cleaning delicate upholstery is to not over wet and use a air mover or strong fans to dry the furniture quickly to prevent wicking or browning. In cities like Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, San Diego, Tampa that have high humidity the furniture takes longer to dry and is even more important to use fast dry methods. In dry climate like Phoenix, Las Vegas, Austin, El Paso, Albuquerque, Tucson, Salt Lake City your upholstery dries much quicker. Please call a upholstery cleaning expert for service cleaning leather, suede and hattian cotton and expensive orintal rugs

When cleaning leather furniture or upholstery that has ink you should call a professional. I've seen so many people ruin their furniture trying to do it themselves. I would call a furniture cleaning expert that knows what he's doing. Now if your trying to cleanin mud from your dog jumping on the furniture i would first remove all the debris loose stuff and the vacuum. Wisk up some laundry detergent and use the suds and a soft brush to agitate. Then wipe with a clean damp towel. Always dry the are with a fan or hair dryer, if you dont the furniture will have a ring where the water was. If you dry the upholstery fast there will be no ring or wicking

To remove ink from leather furniture yourself you should always test a small area where its not noticible to check for color fastness. Your testing the furniture in a small place to see if any damage will occur. One home formula to remove ink from leather furniture is hairspray or alcohol mixed with water 50/50. IMPORTANT always blot ink and repeat as necessary. it comes off in small layers. Never rub ink into leather furniture or upholstered furniture. It runs and bleeds and will make your problem worse

Upholstery cleaning in Beverly Hills is the same as anywhere else. Except for caling ahead of time, being 10 minutes early and going through some security. The upholstery or leather furniture cleaning is the same. You should clean furniture in Beverly Hills the same as you do in Culver City. Its the repeat business and referrals later on where you make profits. Thats exactly why I insist on cleaning all customers furniture because you never know who they know. So my advice is to give all upholstery and leather furniture cleaning customers your best effort. Ya never know.

When cleaning leather or upholstered furniture in high humidity locations you get alot of mold and mildew on the furniture. First I would say to clean the furniture outside so no mold transfers to anything else in the house. Next, take your extractor and use it to suck up more mold from the chair's surface. Once you're done, throw away the disposable bag of your vacuum immediately so mold spores don't get loose. If it's not disposable, then make sure to clean it outside the house. Leave the cleaned furniture out in the sun and open air for a day so that the heat dries it thoroughly. If sunny weather is not available, then an electric heater will do fine too. Drying and airing the furniture will not allow mold to grow. There are a few more ways to get rid of mold and mildew if it remains or if you prefer trying other methods. Use a soapy sponge, or one with detergent in it, to lightly wipe the chair without letting water be absorbed in it. Then wipe the suds away with a damp cloth. Another way to clean it is by using an alcohol-moistened cloth (denatured alcohol mixed with water). Try a inconspicuous area in the back for color fastness. Make sure to dry your chair properly afterwards. If the molding is also present on the inside of your chair, then the only option, rather than getting rid of the chair itself, is to contact a professional upholstery cleaning service or www.FurnitureCleaningExperts.com To remove the smell from your chair, you can use charcoal or baking soda, or both. You do this by placing the charcoal, or bowls with baking soda in them, on different parts of the furniture. Don't rub them onto the upholstery. Just let them lie there and they will absorb the odor.

Leather furniture cleaning requires a qualified furniture cleaning expert. First you should always test a small inconspicuous area just incase the dye bleeds. The next step is to wipe down the complete leather furniture with a damp cloth using only water. The reason for this is because we don't know what that customer has been using to maintain the furniture. This neutralizes what ever the customer has been treating the furniture with and also lets you begin cleaning with a neutral Ph of 7.2. Now you can begin cleaning. We use our own brand of leather cleaner and spray liberally, lightly brush and wipe with a damp towel of clean water. You should repeat as necessary and work in sections of about 1 foot by 1 foot. Start from the back first then top to bottom. Use a blower for fast dry and condition the leather furniture with a non oily non greasy conditioner. Customers should leave leather furniture cleaning to the professionals at www.UpholsteryCleaningExperts.com and in spanish www.LimpioMuebles.com

Not all upholstered furniture cleaning services are alike. The first thing is to be on time and neat and clean in appearance. Its not all about cleaning the furniture. You should be courteous, sober, knowlegdable and prepared. First we recommend a pre-inspection of furniture to be cleaned. Go over realistic expectations. Notice possible permanent stains and damage before you start and put it on the invlice so your butt is covered. Move other furniture away to give space to furniture being cleanined. Use a good portable with heat is plenty of pwer for upholstery cleaning. Work neatly wipe or mop up overspray. Do a complete post inspection and show the customer the dirty water that came from the furniture. Even if all stains arent removed they are always impressed with how brown the water is. Please feel free to post all your upholstery and leather furniture cleaning tips and experiences here.
